the goddess
My journey to Dafni began when I shifted my focus, releasing what no longer serves me, to create time and space for what truly nourishes my spirit. As I let go of old patterns and expectations, I discovered precious moments of creativity that had been waiting to flourish. In those special moments when I let myself dream and indulge my heart, I discovered my inner goddess – that divine spark that ignites when we align with our truest calling.
I believe every goddess deserves to be surrounded by treasures that hold sacred energy and tell meaningful stories – each one a reflection of her divine essence. This path has taught me that creating and curating beautiful and charming pieces isn't just about aesthetics – it's about making, repurposing, and restoring the essence of things in a way that celebrates our own inner radiance and carries forward the legacy, adding another piece to the story. Now, I pour this passion into every piece I create, curate, or reclaim, finding profound joy in bringing beauty into the lives of others.
With every stitch I sew and every vintage treasure I discover, I infuse intention and reverence for the goddess within each of us. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, understanding that our surroundings shape our energy and elevate our daily rituals into sacred moments. When I restore a vintage find, I'm not just preserving history – I'm breathing new life into pieces that will continue to tell stories for generations to come.
I invite you to browse the items in my collection. Whether it's a handsewn set of cocktail napkins for your sister’s birthday, oyster trinket dishes for a bridal shower favor, or a restored vintage mirror that reflects your inner light, each piece is gilded especially for you – the goddess who deserves to surround herself with gifts as extraordinary as she is.
who’s dafni?
People often ask me, “Who’s Dafni?” And with all this talk about goddesses, you might begin to think Dafni is the name of my inner goddess. Dafni however, is a place. It’s where my father was born and where I spent my summers as a child.
The small, charming village of Dafni is located in the central part of Evia, the second largest of the Greek islands situated directly east of mainland Greece in the Aegean Sea. This quaint Greek village holds deeply special memories for me that are stitched tightly into my soul.
When I began reflecting on the brand that was unfolding on my new journey as an artisan and curator, I was concurrently navigating the dual citizenship process. My father’s birthplace was top of mind as I exchanged emails and documents with the Consulate General of Greece. That’s when Dafni, the brand, emerged and quickly took shape. And could she take any other form than a goddess? Absolutely not!
